Job Summary:
The Product Owner plays a crucial role in the Agile development process by defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog. They act as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that product features align with business objectives and deliver value to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business needs and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather and define requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.
- Continuously refine and adjust the product backlog based on feedback, market trends, and changing priorities.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding product updates and development progress.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and market trends to drive product innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience using product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality products.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in software development or technical project management.
- Understanding of data analytics and how it informs product decisions.
