Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in test automation frameworks, scripting, and continuous integration, with a keen eye for identifying defects and improving test efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define test automation strategies.
- Design and implement test frameworks, tools, and test scripts to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Perform regression, functional, performance, and security testing using automation.
- Ensure test environments and test data are properly set up for automated testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback to the development team.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and software quality assurance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, or TestNG.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with security testing techniques and tools.
- ISTQB certification or similar credentials.
