Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team and ensure the efficient operation of our computer systems, networks, and servers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks to ensure high availability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Monitor system performance, network health, and security vulnerabilities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and data backup solutions.
- Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Maintain system documentation, logs, and reports.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting and system management tools.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance system efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Requirements & Skills:
Certifications like CompTIA Server+, Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE), Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, or macOS administration.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
