Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality of our software products. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation tools, and defect-tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs and ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and test objectives.
- Utilize test automation frameworks to improve efficiency in regression and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using defect-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Conduct functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure test coverage by writing test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
- Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and testing tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript (for automation).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB Certification is a plus.
Experience in mobile application testing (Android & iOS).
Exposure to cloud testing platforms like AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs, or BrowserStack.
