Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance and development team. The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, tools, and scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, test automation, and continuous integration & delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Design, build, and optimize test automation frameworks.
- Write and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure test coverage.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Work with DevOps teams to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Improve the quality of code by reviewing unit tests and encouraging test-driven development (TDD).
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Strong knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or k6) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with AI-driven test automation.
Experience in behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber or SpecFlow.
Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security testing and best practices.
