Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by conducting thorough testing and reporting defects. The QA Analyst will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to maintain high software quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, system, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail).
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely bug resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in software development.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, providing feedback on testing progress and results.
- Assist in the automation of test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or other automation tools.
- Maintain documentation for test processes, test cases, and user guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: [X] years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure).
