Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to evaluate and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests using industry-standard tools and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute performance test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios to assess system performance.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with developers to optimize system efficiency.
- Use performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Neoload to simulate user load and analyze system behavior.
- Monitor application performance under load and generate detailed reports on test results.
- Conduct stress testing, load testing, scalability testing, and endurance testing.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve system stability and responsiveness.
- Automate performance testing where possible to streamline the testing process.
- Provide recommendations to enhance application performance and meet business requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and new performance testing methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in performance testing and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Neoload.
- Strong knowledge of performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests.
- Understanding of system architecture, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics and logs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in performance testing tools is a plus.
Experience with cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
