Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate Open Source Developer to contribute to and maintain open-source projects, collaborate with global developer communities, and improve software through innovative solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills, experience with open-source contributions, and a deep understanding of collaborative development.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to open-source projects by writing, reviewing, and improving code.
- Develop and maintain software solutions using open-source technologies.
- Collaborate with the open-source community via GitHub, forums, and mailing lists.
- Participate in code reviews, discussions, and documentation updates.
- Identify and fix bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues.
- Advocate for open-source best practices and contribute to project roadmaps.
- Work with internal and external teams to integrate open-source solutions.
- Write technical documentation, blog posts, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Experience working with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Strong understanding of open-source licensing, software development principles, and community contributions.
- Experience in contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
- Knowledge of Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Good problem-solving skills and a passion for collaborative development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
Participation in open-source events, hackathons, or developer forums.
Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and cloud computing platforms.
Previous experience leading or mentoring open-source contributors.
