Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify test scenarios, enhance testing strategies, and improve software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to define test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM.
- Ensure the integration of automation testing with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Work with Agile teams and participate in scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Provide feedback on test results, reports, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Stay up to date with the latest automation testing trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automation testing with tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SOAP UI.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and ability to write basic queries.
- Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner (a plus).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and test-driven development (TDD).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies.
- Exposure to AI-based test automation tools.
